This image has been stuck in my head for a couple of days now. Lily Aldridge looks gorgeous as always in a military jacket, a floral dress and Balenciage heels. Click through to the Refinery 29 article for some beauty tips and an inside scoop on life on the road with Kings Of Leon.

A trend that I can’t get enough of (my love has grown even bigger since I started working for DIESEL) and a seemingly prefect couple.

Waiting for the new season of “Girls” to come out seems like it is taking forever. We and just about all of our girlfriends got hooked on the show really quickly after it came out. It’s the real life version of one of our favorite shows all time Sex And The City (yes, we can match every outfit to the correct episode) and takes you along a crazy journey through New York when you’re a -don’t know what you’re doing with your life- twenty something girl. Lena Dunham, writer of the show and main character Hannah, doesn’t make the show pretty or easy, like the normal shows we are used to, which makes it that more heartbreaking, endearing and definitely addictive.
While our usual shows provide us with great styling and clothes we usually can’t afford, costume designer of Girls, Jenn Rogien, focusses on affordable pieces but styles them in a way that is just as memorable. Who can forget Jessa’s feather dress? For a lot of actresses, great styling on set also teaches them to up the ante off set and the same can be said for all Girls’ actresses. Weekend Knack points out that Zosia Mamet in particular, or Shoshanna as we know her from the show, will be one of the girls to watch during the up and coming year and we couldn’t agree more. I love the combination of the oversized red! leather jacket with the shorts and marine striped jumper. Simple but bold at the same time. Season 2 of Girls premieres January 13th, can’t wait!
I have to admit that I watch the Victoria Secret show every year. So while watching it this time around, I wanted to write up another Style Highlight of a Victoria’s Secret angel (find the style highlight of the other angel Lily Aldridge here). We’ve featured Miranda Kerr’s pre Orlando pad before but now it’s time for her sense of style outside of the catwalk. Miranda’s signature look is defined by the basics she wears. Skinny jeans and leather leggings are staples in her closet. She loves combining these with a loose fitted tee, sweater or coat. The perfect style for girls with beautiful legs but that have a bit of tummy to hide. Not that Miranda Kerr has anything to hide, with her perfect physique she is highly involved in health and wellness and even started an organic skincare line – and lifestyle – with KORA organics.
As one of the top earning models worldwide, she travels around the world constantly. Therefore her style is based on comfort and simple pieces that are of high quality and are well fitted. A style that suits her very well in her daily life. It’s becoming a red thread through my style highlights but I’m more a fan of her street wear than her red carpet looks – same as with Emma Stone and Lily Aldridge -.You might also have noticed that she sports the Isabel Marant Dicker boot quite a lot. Guess I’m just a sucker for this perfect ankle boot.
Marijs and I were photographed by the girls of Antwerpen Streetstyle while heading to the Academy show last saturday. It’s always nice to get to see the faces behind a blog. Make sure to stop by their website to check out their work and the other pics from that night.
What can I say, a maxi skirt, a cute sweatshirt and Willow sneakers, perfection.
I have no idea what my friend Eline will think when she spots this picture of herself on Ella & Louise, but it just kept coming back to me and I thought I’d share. I snapped this photo of her on a warm april day when we were spending some time at the beach with friends. I just love the colours in this picture. The way her skin tone matches her blouse and the sand… I hope to show you some pics of her amazing dress sense soon. If she doesn’t kill me for posting this picture, that is.
I am supposed to show you pics from my trip to Amsterdam, the pressdays, and a post that I’ve been working on for a while. Sadly though, I have a plane to catch to Munich in the morning, and I still have to pack. Instead, I will show you this picture I snapped in Paris last week of this handsome well-dressed gentleman.
Belgian readers will instantly know who he is, the Dutch will probably recognize him from Benelux Next Top Model (a bus of giggling school girls did anyway). To the people who do not know him: this is Jani Kazaltzis, one of Belgium’s best stylists. He works for TV and is absolutely adorable. Just so you know.
It’s been a busy week for Ella & Louise! Press days, a Paris trip, jobhunt, moving, working at stocksales and Easter celebrations…Sometimes we feel like we don’t even have the time to breathe! But…we had some good talks, discovered interesting brands, had a lot of fun and some of us (errr… ME!) got to see Karl Lagerfeld in real life. More details coming up, but today I will leave you with these things: pictures of the beautiful Tiany Kiriloff at the press days and some shots of our attempts to dress up the Lee bike at the Listen Up HQ! Tiany, Kim, Gilles, Afrodite and I really tried our best…
