My first visit to Madrid for the C&A Reimagine Design challenge was short but very productive. Next to the design challenge I already told you about, I spent some brief time in the city center. I’ll tell you more about the Tribunal/ Chueca area shortly but for now I just wanted to highlight the DO Concept Store. With the inspiring name “DO”, founder Lucia Ruiz-Rivas wants to challenge visitors to become more creative and be more bold in their “doing things”. And this is just one reason why this concept store is a great first stop.
DO is a space that combines art, fashion and design. Selling brands such as Henrik Vibskov for fashion and Hay for home ware, they love their Danish brands (who doesn’t?). But they also include Belgian designer Christian Wijnants and more brand that I hadn’t heard of before such as Ferm Living and menswear brands Melinda Gloss and Uniforms for the Dedicated. I loved browsing though their assortment and can only recommend doing the same and topping it of with some time spent in their cafe.
