Once you fall in love it’s hard to say no. That’s exaclty what happened with my new Fred De La Bretonière shoes. I was happily browsing trough their Nationalestraat store at Antwerp Fashion Night, while all of a sudden my eyes fell on a pair of ponyhair heels. And I mean that literally, ponyhair heels. The rest of the shoe is this perfect little ankle boot but the heels completely steal the show. I had to have them. While shooting our part in the tv-show “Iedereen Beroemd“, I took the first chance I got to wear them. In the midst of a relaxing moment in Patricia’s couch our lovely photographer, Phebe, took these pictures.
Shoes: Fred De La Bretonière

I’m a single girl and have been for quite some time now (and yes, this is going to be a girlie post). Consequently I’m big on spoiling myself once and a while. Buying flowers for my apartment, new candles ànd underwear. Even though I’m probably the only one who’s going to see it in the morning and evening, it makes my day to wear soft and pretty unmentionables. Big on my list is comfort, fabrics and of course esthetics. I also have had a notoriously long search for the perfect bra, something I’m sure a lot of you with smaller or bigger breasts can relate to. Therefore I am always on the hunt for a new brand that suits me perfectly.
I don’t know if I say it nearly as much as I should here on the blog, but my favorite designer is one that’s very close to home. From my house, it’s a three minute walk to get to his store, which is quite litterally a fashion palace (the store is called Het Modepaleis, the Dutch translation). I could run into him on the street all the time, but I never do. And if I had to pick only one designer to wear all my life, it would be him.
I’m talking about Dries van Noten, who time and time again has surprised me with his mouthwathering designs. To me it’s all about the perfect balance. Dries always knows how to combine masculine and feminine, eclectic an minimal. The proportions in his designs are always right. And it’s wearable.
Miroslava Duma is most def one of my favourite streetstyle inspirations du moment. She just looks so impeccable, and I must applaud her for her daring choices. Color blocking with leather? Awesome.

Ever since I saw the fall fashion shows back in March, I’ve been keeping my eye out for the perfect dark red/purplish lipstick. By now it has become a bit of a mission. With my blonde hair, I won’t be easy find one that doesn’t make me look pale or gothic. If you know any good ones, let me know. In the meantime, I’ll continue the search!
Halfway through the summer Juke asked us to put together a playlist. I chose a collection of songs that have entertained us through the summer, the festivals and several road trips. Even though I made the playlist in full summer mood and chilly weather is taking over now, I`m still very much in love with these songs. You can listen to them here!
As some of you know our hometown Leuven is a breeding ground for good bands and music. You’ve seen Willow pass by a couple of times now and of course AKS also had to be a part of the list. Next to that I put in some of my favorites such as The Killers and Two Door Cinema Club with their new singles and a couple of great dance tunes. It’s a bit of a mix between several genres but that`s just how we like it! I hope you`ll put the list on repeat just as much as I have.
Next to the wonderful news of my favorite playlist, we also get to give away three subscriptions to Juke! Just send an e-mail with your favorite song in the playlist to the e-mail address email@example.com and the first three will win. Good luck!
Camping Flamingo is where you`re going to want to be in a couple of weeks time. On the 6th of October Camping Flamingo, the brainchild of Michaël Cloet, Yelina Vranckx, Gwen Swinnen, Birgit Sterckx and Stefanie Mannaerts, will be taking over the PJ Verhaegenstraat in the centre of Leuven. It’s a 100% completely free flea market where the creative crowd from Leuven will be selling their vintage clothes, home made scarfs, soup, skills, and other curiosities.
There are still a couple of camping spots open if you want to join in and sell something, everything is fair game! Just send a quick e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Other then that Poldoore and Lisa Smolders from Studio Brussel will be taking care of the musical entertainment. We’ll be there, hopefully you will too!
I’ve been so eager to post this for a while now and the moment is finally here! I’m so proud to show you the pictures of the renewed Garde-Robe Nationale in Antwerp. The design of the store was done by the most amazing architect I know, Dieter Vander Velpen, a.k.a. my boyfriend. My biased opinion aside, please do see for yourself how his first solo project turned out!
Ever since we started doing the segment on TV, we’ve been neglecting the blog, neglecting our families and neglecting our friends. These pictures were taken on saturday, when Marijs and I headed to the seaside with our dear friends, our first day off in weeks. Even then, ideas were bouncing around and we had to leave early to spend the night working. But this right here was our second to breathe.
