@McElvee‘s jacket. It started with the performance of Bushemi at the On The Rocks festival of Studio Brussel. If you follow us on Facebook or Twitter you might have already seen this lady pass by. I took this photo with my camera phone (hence the bad quality) because the jacket instantly caught my eye. I didn’t know who was performing with Bushemi and thanks to the wonderful world of Twitter (and @FakePlasticRuby –> be sure to follow this one) I found out that McElvee was on stage. To make a long story short, by coincidence I was already following this lady on Instagram and Pinterest which made it quite funny to hear that she was right in front of me.
I have been craving a baseball jacket for some time now and found a fashionable alternative but the real deal is still very tempting. Thanks to the help of the lovely McElvee, I was able to figure out that her jacket is from 7toRaw and they are completely personalized. Not that big a fan of the font that they use, but saw one a while ago worn by Lola from AKS that I really liked. So if you have some good ideas on where to get one, let me know!
I was so happy to discover Boca Chica/ Boca Grande on my last day in Barcelona last november. This (then) new bar and restaurant, just off Passeig de Gracia, is simply amazing. It has been open since August and had already managed to become all the rage.
It felt like a spark of hope in this beautiful city that’s being hit hard by the crisis. Both my boyfriend (who is an architect and knows quite a lot about nice bars and restaurants) and I were stunned. I’ve been reading some reviews online and opinions are divided, it seems like a love it or hate it kind of place.

Spotted this morning while sipping tea: this wonderful beaded clutch by Virgos Lounge. Pure perfection.
I came across these pictures of my make up from 2010. That year must have been a turning point for me, beautywise. I have always “invested” in clothes and accessories, but I remember my mom telling me it wouldn’t hurt to pay a little more attention to the beautystuff back when I was a student. Read more..
I’m very excited to tell you that Two Door Cinema Club is finally releasing their new album. I discovered them on Werchter last year and have been addicted ever since. Beacon, which is the fetching name of the new album, is set to arrive in USA and Canada on the 3rd of September. If you want to see them live, they’re coming to Pukkelpop!

1. By a stroke of luck (and a good tip from Patricia) I was able to obtain my new Acne Pistol Boots, gorgeous!
3. On Monday, we were finally able to get together with a very fun set of friends when the lovely Marie gave me this amazing Knäppa camera from IKEA. It is part of the IKEA PS collection and is by far one of the cooler thing I’ve seen in a long time. It is a fully automated digital camera with USB stick on the side, with an outer casing completely made out of cardboard. I’ve been playing around with it for a little bit and I’ll show the first set of pictures soon. They will not be sold in the stores, but if you still want to see how they work you catch the video here.

Nadinoo is the kind of brand I fell head over heels in love with the first time I saw it. Everything about it reminds me why I love fashion so much from time to time. The delicate femininity, the nostalgia, the structure of the clothes. Nadinoo has created a wonderful dreamworld for escapists like me.
They strongly believe in the art of handcrafted clothing, and when I see their pieces, it is hard to disagree. So far I’ve only been able to admire the clothes online, but my fingers are aching to click and buy every single time I visit the Nadinoo site.

Marijs and I were photographed by the girls of Antwerpen Streetstyle while heading to the Academy show last saturday. It’s always nice to get to see the faces behind a blog. Make sure to stop by their website to check out their work and the other pics from that night.
It’s a true fact that the world is such a nicer place when you can wear your sunglasses and the sun is shining on your face. Around Christmas, I took a quick get-away to Marsa Alam, Egypt, to get my diving license. I’m now a proud Open Water Diver and absolutely loved learning to dive in Egypt. I saw so many beautiful fish next to the coral (including two big tunafish) and I even got to see several turtles. Pure happiness in my eyes. I don’t have any diving plans for this summer yet, but am badly craving some.
