From Kirilove to Kipling

Well we’ve had quite some fun thursday night. After work, Marijs and I hurried to the Belmodo Headquarters for what was definitely going to turn into a night to remember. For us, and for the hostess of the night, Tiany Kiriloff, who launched her second collection for Vero Moda.

I must say, it is looking pretty damn good. This collection looks and feels so much like Tiany, and it really reflects her sense of style. I’d already spotted the green print on the amazing pictures when I visited a couple of weeks back. Then yesterday, Marijs and I completely fell in love with the peachy pink suede vest. Good thing those two only hit the stores on the 28th of march, so I can plan my budget accordingly!

The first part is in stores now and consists of a bright red top with print, cobalt blue trousers and the cutest trenchcoat I’ve seen since the one Viktor & Rolf designed for H&M.

Belmodo’s Aline in the collection & Marijs with thé suede jacket.

Back to the party then, where there were cocktails, mini steaks (YUM) and Lattes (So Tiany) and we all got to play dress up with the clothes. I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking…

After the launch, most of us headed over to Felix Pakhuis for the Kipling Party. The brand was celebrating its 25th birthday with candy bananas and cocktails. Marijs received a pretty cool camera on her way out, we’ll make sure we’ll take some pics with it soon and show them to you.

I must say that I really admire the way Kipling has changed over the past years. When I was a little girl, the brand was all backpacks, schoolgear and monkeys. Now, they’ve managed to keep the monkeys and add some glamour.

Talking about glamour…Fast forward to the end of the night: me on a bike, freezing my ass off and catching a cold. How’s that for a party favor, haha. Anyway, we truly had a wonderful night, so thanks everyone for having us!

  1. When I was on the tram on Friday, it really struck me how many schoolkids are also still carrying their Kipling backpacks. The brand is older than me but still going strong!

My sister and I also went shopping for the Kirilove collection over the weekend and she bought the cutest little electric blue Kirilove skirt. It was really nice to see it hanging in the stores and so many people were trying the pieces on in the dressing rooms!
